Linda Hamilton Cameos in the 'Dark Winds' Season 4 Premiere

The Season 4 premiere of Dark Winds included a brief, surprising cameo from Linda Hamilton, who appears as Barbara Sena in "Kǫ'Tsiitáá' Álnééh (Baptism by Fire)." The series follows Joe Leaphorn, Jim Chee and Bernadette Manuelito as they pursue a new case across the Navajo Nation.

Leaphorn encounters former Sheriff Lawrence "Gordo" Sena, played by A Martinez, changing a tire. Hamilton's Barbara recognizes Joe but mistakes him for his father, Henry (Joseph Runningfox), and Gordo turns the mix-up into a joke to spare her. As the scene closes, Joe tells his friend, "She needs you not to give up, Gordo." George R.R.

Martin had Hamilton in mind for the role, and Hamilton said, "I love George R. R." She revealed she even offered to do the scene for free if she could meet executive producer Robert Redford, to whom the premiere is dedicated after his death in 2025. "I didn't get to meet him [on set]," she added.
