Goal reports Lindsey Heaps has signed with Denver Summit FC through 2029, a move announced Monday that will bring the USWNT midfielder home to Colorado after her spell with OL Lyonnes.

The club unveiled the signing in a video presented as a routine U.S. Soccer interview that surprised Heaps’ parents; Heaps’ father said, "We’ve got to spend 20 years watching her play." Born in Golden and developed with Colorado Rush, Heaps will return to the NWSL this summer after OL Lyonnes' season as she targets the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil. She leaves a successful spell in France that included a 2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League title, three consecutive domestic league crowns and a last season with 12 goals and eight assists in 15 starts, and said in the club's press release she is "incredibly excited to come home" and "fully committed to finishing the season strong with OL Lyonnes."

The deal runs through 2029, and Denver Summit presents the signing as early proof of its ambition and a way to lean into Colorado’s soccer roots. Heaps, now 31, said the move lets her family drive 20 or 30 minutes to watch her play and gives her a chance to give back to the community that helped launch her career.
