Lindsey Vonn showed off her skiing battle scars to actress Scarlett Johansson in an NBC Sports featurette posted to YouTube ahead of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.

In the humorous promo the two sit bundled around a fire pit as Vonn recalled a string of career injuries, pulling up her pant leg and saying, "Austria, 2013, I tore my ACL and my MCL," with a clip from her fall at the 2013 Alpine World Championships in Schladming, Austria following.

Vonn also recounted, "2010 — wrecked my arm, but I still skied down in a sling," with footage from Lienz, Austria, and said, "I can beat it. Torino '06 — epic crash and was helicoptered off the mountain," referring to her 2006 Olympic crash. Johansson played along with clips from her films, quipping she "wrenched my whole knee" in a faux "boating incident" during a Jurassic World: Rebirth scene and "I slid under a car, I got a nasty roadburn."

Asked why they keep returning to risky work, the two answered in unison, "Because we love it." Vonn retired in 2022, citing her body’s limits, before deciding to come out of retirement last year.

Viewers will get their first chance to cheer for Vonn on Sunday, February 8, 2026, when she is scheduled to compete in the women's downhill; her participation in the Super-G is undetermined. Vonn won Olympic downhill gold in 2010 and holds two Olympic bronze medals — the 2018 downhill and the 2010 Super-G.
