Long-standing sponsor to end partnership with Spurs amid relegation fears
A long-standing sponsor of Tottenham Hotspur has told the club its partnership will terminate at the end of the season, with the deal—believed to have earned Spurs millions—ending regardless of whether the team avoids relegation. Several other commercial partners are also reported to be reviewing their arrangements with the club.
Sponsors have pointed to on-field issues as central to the breakdown. They cited Spurs’ decision to effectively sacrifice the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou last season, a 17th-placed finish described as ‘unacceptable’, messaging focused on the Europa League and falling attendances that have left stadiums partly empty and matchday atmospheres strained.
Concerns extend beyond branding in the ground: Spurs’ diminished pull in recent transfer windows and the exit of Daniel Levy have been mentioned by partners, and many agreements contain termination or exit clauses.
