Wizards of the Coast leaned on fan passion to shape its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover, the same approach that fueled its Final Fantasy release. The set pulls from more than 40 years of comics, cartoons, video games and movies, and the team worked with Nickelodeon to blend versions of the Turtles into a single, cohesive vision that feels lovingly assembled.

The art opts for a grittier, lived-in New York rather than the glossy superhero skyline, favoring night scenes lit by streetlights, neon signs and car headlights. Basic lands show the spots the Turtles just abandoned, often with half-eaten pizzas, while full-art rooftop lands depict them dashing across the city; mana colors are signaled through environmental cues like sunrise for Plains and a rainstorm for Island.

The Pizza Bundle lands even use toppings to denote mana, with broccoli for Forest, anchovies for Island and pepperoni for Mountain. The set emphasizes the "teenager" in TMNT.
