Man City 3-0 Fulham: Haaland and Semenyo shine — Goal

Erling Haaland scored his first open-play goal in nearly two months as Manchester City beat Fulham 3-0, striking three times before half-time and building on the momentum of their late comeback at Liverpool. Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring in the 24th minute by pouncing on a loose ball, his fifth goal since joining from Bournemouth for £64m.

Nico O'Reilly then doubled the lead with a composed finish after a slick exchange with Semenyo. VAR rejected a penalty appeal for a tug on Marc Guehi, and Phil Foden laid the ball off for Haaland to fire into the bottom corner from just outside the box; it was Haaland's first open-play goal since December 20 and Foden's first goal involvement in 14 appearances.

Pep Guardiola took Haaland off at half-time and later withdrew Foden, Rodri and Bernardo Silva, giving his key players a breather while City kept control and avoided a repeat of Fulham's December comeback. The win cut Arsenal's lead at the top of the table down to three points ahead of their trip to Brentford.
