Manchester City have announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth on a long-term contract, Goal reports. The transfer package is said to be £62.5 million, with a potential further £1.5m in add-ons.

Semenyo has penned a deal at the Etihad through to the summer of 2031 after a rapid rise since leaving Bristol City for Bournemouth in January 2023. He registered 13 goals across all competitions last season, has already reached double figures this term, and City describe him as "one of the Premier League’s most feared forwards". He could make his debut in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Newcastle on Tuesday.

Semenyo told the club’s official website he was proud to join and praised Pep Guardiola, saying his best football is yet to come. Director of Football Hugo Viana called him "a really exciting signing" and highlighted his pace, power and room for growth. Bournemouth accepted a 10 per cent sell-on clause in the deal; Semenyo has 32 senior caps for Ghana and will be hoping to line up against England in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup while also competing for major trophies with City, who remain involved in four competitions.
