Manchester United Women have completed the signing of Germany striker Lea Schuller from Bayern Munich on a contract until June 2029, Goal reports.

The 28-year-old is the club's second January addition after Sweden full-back Hanna Lundkvist. Schuller scored 103 goals in 180 games for Bayern, won seven trophies including four Frauen-Bundesliga titles, and has 54 goals in 82 appearances for Germany, including a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games; United’s director of women’s football said her goal-scoring record and experience will add a new dimension to an attack that already features Elisabeth Terland and Melvine Malard, who have 17 goals between them this season.

United moved after manager Marc Skinner urged the club to be 'aggressive' in the winter market and said the squad needs three or four signings. The team return to WSL action in early January with a trip to Arsenal on 10 January, then host Burnley in the FA Cup on 18 January and travel to Atletico Madrid for the Champions League last-16 first leg on 12 February.
