In a report from Movieweb, Mark Ruffalo denied online rumors that Disney had fired him following his recent political remarks. Ruffalo's comments came after his appearance at the Golden Globes, where he called ICE agents "literal stormtroopers" and said, "[Trump] is a convicted felon, a convicted rapist.

He’s a pedophile. He’s the worst human being." Asked directly about being fired while promoting his new movie Crime 101 with Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry, Ruffalo replied, "Not that I know of." Hemsworth called the reports "It's nonsense," and Ruffalo added, "I'll be there as long as they'll have me, but I have a good relationship with them." The article notes Ruffalo took over the role of Bruce Banner from Edward Norton and has appeared in several Avengers films, Thor: Ragnarok, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and the post-credits scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
