Markiplier said his self-funded horror film Iron Lung, which opened to nearly $18 million on a budget of less than $3 million, will be released for home viewing with DVD and Blu-ray editions in addition to a digital release.

The filmed version is written and directed by Mark Fischbach, who stars as the protagonist Simon, and is based on David Szymanski’s 2022 video game about a convict exploring an ocean of blood on a moon.

Markiplier said he intends to handle the home release independently from start to finish and that translating the film into packaged formats will require work and guidance.

No home release date has been announced; he noted physical media printing takes time, and Iron Lung is currently in theaters.
