Matilda De Angelis at the Milan Cortina Opening Ceremony
Matilda De Angelis presided as the composer for "Armonia" — Italian for harmony — a piece inspired by the work of the famed architect and Neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova. Seventy performers from the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala turned San Siro Stadium into a living museum, transforming from statues to dancers as De Angelis watched the spectacle unfold.
Born on September 11, 1995, De Angelis is an Italian actress and singer best known in the United States for appearing on the 2020 miniseries The Undoing. Her first acting role came in 2016's Italian Race, which earned a David di Donatello Award nomination for Best Actress, and she won the award four years later for The Incredible Story of Rose Island.
She primarily works in Italian-language films, with notable roles in the 2023 series The Law According to Lidia Poët and the 2025 film Dracula. The 30-year-old is also established in music: she released her first single, "Seventeen," in 2016 and a full-length studio album, Ritorno al futuro/Back to the Future, in 2022.
