Goal reports that Maximilian Ibrahimovic is in talks to leave AC Milan and join Ajax, according to Dutch outlet De Telegraaf.

De Telegraaf says Ajax have opened discussions with Milan over signing Maximilian on loan with an option to buy. The report adds that the winger, who currently plays for Milan's U23s, has held talks with several Eredivisie clubs but would prefer to join Ajax; the plan is to field him in youth academy matches while allowing him to train alongside Fred Grim's first‑team squad. He is contracted to Milan until 2027 and received his first senior call-up in December’s Italian Super Cup semi‑final loss to Napoli, where he was an unused substitute.

If Milan and Ajax agree a deal in the winter transfer window, the move would see Maximilian follow in his father Zlatan's footsteps — Zlatan spent three years with Ajax between 2001 and 2004. It remains to be seen whether the switch will happen; both clubs will be hoping to maintain form across the January period, with Milan travelling to Cesc Fabregas’ Como on Thursday, 15 January while Ajax travel to AZ Alkmaar in the last 16 of the Dutch Cup a day earlier.
