Meghan Markle goes Old Hollywood at Fifteen Percent Pledge gala

Meghan Markle brought extra glitz to the Fifteen Percent Pledge Fundraising Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, attending without Prince Harry. She wore a strapless oyster-colored gown with black piping at the sweetheart neckline, a custom design by Charles Harbison of Harbison Studio, and draped a black velvet-and-silk shawl with a dramatic train over her arms.

Markle accessorized with vintage onyx-and-diamond jewelry from Maison Mèrenor, suede Stuart Weitzman heels, slicked her hair back in a tight bun and kept her makeup minimal. Harbison posted a video from inside the event, smiling and laughing with Markle. The Fifteen Percent Pledge, founded by Aurora James, encourages retailers to commit at least 15 percent of their shelf space and revenue to black-owned businesses.

Tina Knowles was the guest of honor, and Chloe Bailey, Kimora Lee Simmons and Winnie Harlow were among the attendees at the gala held at Paramount Studios. Prince Harry did not accompany Markle.
