Melissa Roxburgh says Oliver Odell’s fate in The Hunting Party remains uncertain
Collider reports Melissa Roxburgh said she has not been told any "side secrets" about Oliver Odell and that, as far as the cast knows, the character died — though she warned the series has taught her not to trust anyone.
Season 2 follows Bex reinstating the team to continue hunting killers from the top‑secret prison known as The Pit, now under the command of Lazarus. Roxburgh noted the show has risen in intensity with creepier cases such as victims encased in resin, a string of notable guest stars including Eric McCormack, Niecy Nash‑Betts, Elizabeth Gillies and Kelsey Grammer, and growing mistrust as the team discovers more secrets about one another.
Roxburgh said there are many plot twists, that she does not know how the season ends and that filming had reached episode nine; she acknowledged Odell's death could still be revealed as staged and said she hopes that is the case. The actress added the characters will repeatedly face choices between light and dark and, aside from Morales, that no one’s safe. Season 2 premieres January 19, 2025 on NBC and is available to stream on Peacock.
