Mewgenics is deep and visually busy, so your first goal should be finding a rhythm that yields consistent wins. Before a run, tweak the Game Settings: reduce Status Bar Size so stacked icons don’t block your view, lower Tooltip Size if hover windows get in the way, and cut noise or grain in Video Settings if the old film look distracts.

Team composition matters early. Always bring a Cleric for dependable healing and revival options, and consider a defensive build that stacks thorns on a high-health Defense collar to punish enemies that strike your tank. After beating a biome mid-boss, don’t shy from the hard route if the team is healthy; it offers valuable gear and rare items.

Be conservative with risky skill checks—aim for a stat of about 7 or higher before gambling, since failures can permanently afflict cats. Invest in Luck: it boosts success on random events and increases rewards between battles.
