Mewgenics fans acted out cringe-filled cat stunts for release contest
To celebrate the release of Mewgenics, developer Edmund McMillen invited fans to act like cats in public or in front of family and submit video proof. He framed the challenge bluntly: "The more we cringe the better you do," and added a safety note: "Dont fuck with anyone!
You are the only one we are laughing at here!" Part turn-based tactics game and part cat-breeding simulator, Mewgenics is a collaboration between McMillen and Tyler Glaiel and had already drawn attention from critics ahead of its Feb. 10 release. Entries arrived from around the world, from a man meowing in Groningen to a woman on all fours at Chicago’s Cloud Gate.
