The actor Mickey Rourke declined more than $100,000 raised online after he was evicted from his home in Los Angeles for owing nearly $60,000 in overdue rent, his manager and court records said. Court documents filed by the homeowner, Eric Goldie, in late December in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County asserted that Rourke owed $59,100 in unpaid rent and had been given three days to pay or move out.

The monthly rent on the three-bedroom Beverly Grove house had been raised to $7,000 from $5,200, the filing said. Rourke posted a video on Instagram saying the situation had been “humiliating” and “embarrassing” and that he would never ask strangers or fans for money; his manager, Kimberly Hines, said Rourke had lived in the house for nearly a decade and the owner bought the property in 2024.

Hines said Rourke stopped paying about six months ago after the conditions became “really unbearable,” and Rourke described mice and rats, a rotten floor and problems with water in a bathtub and two sinks. Hines’s office set up a GoFundMe fundraiser that raised more than $100,000, which Rourke has confirmed he declined; donations on the page have been paused.

Hines also said the owner declined her offer to pay two months’ rent to buy Rourke time, and a representative for the owner did not immediately respond to a request for comment. According to Hines, Rourke moved into a West Hollywood hotel on Sunday and is expected to move into an apartment in Koreatown within a few days.
