At recent men’s wear shows in Milan and Paris, designers and street style alike emphasized traditional tailoring alongside exaggerated proportions. Ralph Lauren, at its first men’s-wear-only show in decades, presented refined three-piece suits worn by models and celebrity guests. Trench coats were plentiful on and off runways, though some took unconventional forms, including versions layered beneath capelet-like anoraks at Prada.

Dior showed double-breasted jackets with cropped waists and long sleeves that “swallowed hands.” Proportional play extended to shrunken jackets and voluminous scarves that at times looked more like blankets; some scarves were actually sweaters tied around the neck, waist or shoulders.

Insulated vests worn over winter coats also appeared. Vibrant color distinguished collections from labels such as Auralee and Dries Van Noten and was visible in street ensembles, prompting one remark captured in the coverage: “You shouldn’t be taking my picture. I should be taking yours!” Photographs and captions also recorded figures including Mingyu at the Dior Homme show, Jack Harlow outside Bar Luce after the Prada show, LaKeith Stanfield and his wife at Dior Homme, Tom Hiddleston and Colman Domingo at Ralph Lauren, and Damson Idris at Prada.

The images and text were produced by Simbarashe Cha for Style Outside; many of the runway pieces shown were identified as fall 2026 men’s wear.
