Sources tell Page Six that country stars Miranda Lambert, George Strait and Morgan Wallen are planning to skip this year’s Grammys after the awards show gave no country artists nominations in the four main categories. After crowning Beyoncé’s debut country album “Cowboy Carter” as Album of the Year in 2025, the show gave not a single nomination to a country artist in Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist, a move that has angered country performers.

Lambert earned four Grammy nods this year, including Best Contemporary Country Album; Strait is nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his duet with Chris Stapleton; Wallen did not submit his “I’m the Problem” album for consideration. “A lot of country artists are not going… They think the Grammys don’t give a f–k about country music,” one source said, and Page Six was told the snub “is all the buzz in country music capital Nashville, Tn.” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.

told Variety’s Jem Aswad the issue largely comes down to voter representation, which he said is “very well balanced.” He added, “But the moment is changing, and it continues to change every week, every month, all year long, and we’re going to keep an eye on how we can make sure we’re being reflective of what’s going on in music,” and called it “heartbreaking” when someone or a genre is not represented.

Reps for the Recording Academy, Lambert, Strait and Wallen did not comment.
