Major League Soccer will significantly scale back its Spanish-language broadcast talent on Apple TV in 2026, cutting about a quarter of overall Spanish-language talent by halving the number of two-person Spanish commentary teams, five sources told the Guardian. The league also plans to downscale some English-language offerings and shift around half of live game production to London this season.

Sources said that after starting Season Pass in 2023 by sending a Spanish-language team to every match, MLS will now employ about half as many two-man Spanish commentary teams, leaving many matches with a single play-by-play announcer. A league source told the Guardian MLS plans to retain what it deems its seven best Spanish play-by-play and commentary pairings, and identified pairings including Sammy Sadovnik with Diego Valeri; Ramses Sandoval with Miguel Gallardo; and Jorge Perez-Navarro with Marcelo Balboa.

The league will stop producing a Spanish-language version of MLS 360, the whip-around show, while the English-language MLS 360 will remain.
