Model favors Bears to cover at home vs. Rams in divisional round
The 2026 NFL divisional round opens Saturday and Sunday, and Cbssports reports SportsLine's computer model is backing the Chicago Bears to cover at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Saturday's slate includes Broncos vs. Bills (+1.5) at 4:30 p.m. ET and Seahawks vs. 49ers (+7) at 8 p.m. ET; Sunday features Patriots vs. Texans at 3 p.m. ET and Rams vs. Bears at 6:30 p.m. ET. The model lists the Bears at (+3.5, 48.5) and projects Chicago to cover the spread in well over half of simulations and the Over to hit in well over 50% of runs. The analysis notes Los Angeles lost against the spread last week, has dropped two straight ATS on the road, allowed 31 points in its Wild Card win over Carolina and has given up 28.3 points over its last seven games, while Chicago has yielded 16.3 points over its last four home contests.
Per the report, the model simulates each game 10,000 times, has returned well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception and enters the divisional round on a 53-37 run on those top-rated picks dating back to 2024; it has locked in picks for every divisional matchup, available at SportsLine.
