Mohamed Salah in talks with Al-Ittihad over potential summer move — Goal

Mohamed Salah is in talks with Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad over a potential summer move. Saudi clubs have targeted him since the Public Investment Fund began investing heavily in the league, and a difficult season at Liverpool has only increased interest.

Last season Salah was a key figure as Liverpool won the Premier League in Arne Slot's debut campaign, scoring 29 league goals and providing 18 assists. After signing a contract extension in April he has managed four Premier League goals this term, but negotiations with Al-Ittihad have started and there is greater optimism now than 12 months ago that a deal could be reached.

The 33-year-old is thought to be more open to a move to the Middle East, where he would join high-profile names in the league. Al-Ittihad have struggled in their title defence, sitting seventh and 16 points behind Al-Hilal after 20 games.
