ZDNET's review of Motorola's 2026 Moto G Power finds a $300 budget handset that stands out for long battery life and a Full HD+ display.

The phone packs a 5,200mAh battery (up from 5,000mAh in the previous model) and lasted about 20 hours during a nonstop 720p YouTube livestream test. Activating Maximum Battery Saver — which keeps only essential apps active — extended runtime to over 40 hours in the review; a Motorola representative said Phone, Messages, Settings and the Google Play Store were “designated as essential.”

Camera upgrades include a 32MP selfie lens, color-correction tweaks that avoid oversaturation, and a Night Vision mode that captures multiple frames to boost low-light results; the review notes Optical Image Stabilization helps reduce blur, but steady hands are still needed for the best shots.

Physically the 6.8-inch phone uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, is rated IP69, and features a vegan leather back that felt notably different from prior models. The display runs at Full HD+ (2388 x 1080 pixels), and the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, described as solid for casual browsing and light photography but prone to struggle under heavy workloads. ZDNET says the 2026 Moto G Power is a modest upgrade over the 2025 model thanks to battery and camera improvements, is available now for $300 on Motorola's website, and comes in Evening Blue and Pure Cashmere.
