Moza's force-feedback flight sim kit delivers striking realism
Moza's flight sim gear isn't for beginners, but it can elevate virtual flying to new levels. The force feedback is powerful and detailed and, while it takes some configuring, the act of flying becomes a whole new game. You'll need to pay to play—but if you've got the cash, the reviewer recommends it.
The AB9 FFB base is massive, weighing 5.5 kg and housing a pair of servo motors that deliver a peak torque of 12 Nm. Its 5 mm steel desk clamp proved remarkably robust and can be mounted to the bottom or side, with metal inserts and a kit of hex keys and mounting hardware to fit most rigs.
The MH16 flightstick mates to the base via a pull-out cable and threaded mechanism; its controls include a chunky trigger, an eight-way hat, TMS and CMS hats, two buttons, a large paddle switch and a removable side module with two additional hat switches. The MTP Throttle is a substantial unit with 27 programmable switches, split throttles, paddles, a Hall-effect joystick, built-in vibration and control-panel lighting.
