Mrs. Thailand Chanita Seedaket Craythorne was crowned Mrs. World 2025 at the Westgate Las Vegas on Thursday, Jan. 29, the Mrs. World pageant organization said.

Contestants representing the U.S. and Sri Lanka also made it to the final three, the organization said. The final six included Mrs. United Arab Emirates, Mrs. American and Mrs. Ireland.

In a statement after her victory, Mrs. Thailand World said Craythorne "has proudly represented Thailand with grace, strength, and purpose — embodying the true spirit of womanhood, motherhood, and leadership." The statement added, "Her journey is a powerful testament to Thai women who stand strong with heart, dignity, and responsibility to family and society."

Craythorne was crowned by last year's titleholder, Tshego Gaelae, who made history as the first Black woman to be named Mrs. World. The People report noted Gaelae is South African and was the 2024 winner; she bested 39 other contestants and had not previously competed in any pageant before qualifying.

Speaking to PEOPLE in Sept. 2025, the 2024 winner said she was drawn to pageantry for its "networking opportunities" and "the opportunities to really be empowered." Gaelae told PEOPLE pageant training brought experts to help with confidence, public speaking and financial management, and she said the experience also boosted her son's confidence.
