Collider interviewed Myha’la, Marisa Abela and Kit Harington about Industry, focusing on the fraught bond between Harper Stern and Yasmin Kara-Hanani. The actors described the pair as sisterlike — fiercely loyal, codependent and prone to using intimacy and ambition as instruments of power.

Myha’la said Harper craves real connection but often treats sex as a form of power; the only nontransactional moments she points to are with her ex and with Robert, and the kiss shared with Yasmin. Abela agreed that Yasmin weaponizes sex to gain control and strives to be the most powerful person in the room, an origin moment for her this season.

Harington characterized Henry as an egotist whose confidence can be very low, noting a scene where Yasmin sexualizes an intimate moment and he recoils. The cast said they aimed to find moments of real love between Henry and Yasmin even as the three-way sequence and subsequent actions drive a schism in their relationship.
