Collider reports NBC has pulled the upcoming Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Corrosive" from its 27th-season schedule after charges were filed against guest star Timothy Busfield. Busfield played a judge in the January 15 episode; NBC confirmed the episode is shelved and will instead air the episode originally slated for January 22.

Busfield previously guest-starred in 2011 and has directed two episodes of the series. An arrest warrant was issued in New Mexico charging him with sexual abuse involving a minor, and those accusations are said to stem from his time as a director on The Cleaning Lady, produced by Warner Bros.

The company issued the following statement: "The health and safety of our cast and crew is always our top priority, especially the safety of minors on our productions. We take all allegations of misconduct very seriously and have systems in place to promptly and thoroughly investigate, and when needed, take appropriate action.
