NBC pulls SVU episode featuring Timothy Busfield amid abuse allegations
Movieweb reports NBC has decided not to air a new episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit featuring Timothy Busfield amid allegations of child sex abuse. The episode, reportedly titled "Corrosive," followed a judge (Busfield) dealing with the aftermath of an attempt on his life and had been scheduled to premiere on Thursday, Jan.
15. NBC said the episode that had been on the docket to air the week of Jan. 22 will take its place. NBC's scheduling update comes days after New Mexico authorities issued a warrant for Busfield's arrest. According to the legal document, the West Wing alum, 68, is accused of inappropriately touching two twin boys — including allegedly picking them up, touching private areas, and tickling them — during his stint as a director on the Fox crime-drama The Cleaning Lady from 2022 to 2024.
On Nov. 3, 2025, Busfield was questioned by an officer and said it was "highly likely" he would have come into physical contact with the boys while working on set but that he did not remember picking them up or "overtly tickling" them, per the warrant obtained by Variety. Warner Bros.
