NBCUniversal’s OLI returns for Milan Cortina 2026 as AI Olympic viewing guide
NBCUniversal is rolling out the second version of OLI, its AI-powered Olympic guide, ahead of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The upgraded OLI experience is now available across 19 NBCU-owned digital properties. First introduced during the 2024 Paris Olympics, OLI combines conversational AI with NBCU’s real-time U.S.
programming information to answer when, where and how to watch events. The upgrade was developed in partnership with the design and technology company Huge and appears on sites including NBCOlympics.com, NBCSports.com, NBC.com, Today.com, NBCNews.com, regional sports networks and 11 local stations.
New features include personalized recommendations and tailored viewing options based on time of day, time zone and live schedules; live medal count updates by country; athlete profiles with bios and event details; video highlights based on user preferences; calendar invites; and suggested follow-up queries to help users discover more sports and athletes.
Jenny Storms, NBCUniversal's Chief Marketing Officer, Entertainment and Sports, said: "Our goal with OLI on NBCUniversal’s digital platforms is to help fans find up-to-the-minute answers to their Olympics questions, and to help them quickly get to the thousands of hours of coverage we have across NBC and Peacock.
