Ne-Yo describes how his single shared relationship with three women works

People reports that Ne‑Yo explained his "one relationship" with three women during an appearance on Sherri Shepherd's talk show on Wednesday, Jan. 14. The 46-year-old singer said he is publicly dating Arielle Hill, Cristina and Moneii and described why he shifted his approach to relationships after his split.

He said that following a "very public, very ugly divorce" he decided he would "never be going to tell another lie to a woman ever again in life," and added, "I own the thing that I did in that marriage to mess it up. I own it completely." The report notes Crystal Renay filed for divorce in August 2022 alleging he fathered a child with another woman; Ne‑Yo and Crystal share three children — Shaffer Chimere Jr., 9, Roman Alexander‑Raj, 6, and Isabella Rose, 4 — and their divorce was finalized in February 2023.

He also has four other children from two other relationships. Ne‑Yo said he proposed the idea of a polyamorous arrangement to one partner first, asked her to meet the others and let everyone decide if they wanted to proceed. "Everybody chose to stick around," he said, adding, "The main understanding is I’m not in three relationships.
