NECA's new Muppet figures could complete Diamond Select's unfinished line

After years of sparse releases, 2026 has brought the return of The Muppet Show. Diamond Select’s action-figure line ended when the company went out of business in 2025, leaving a gap for collectors. At the 2026 Toy Fair in New York City, NECA announced it had acquired the Muppets license and unveiled a first wave tied to The Muppet Show.

The initial collection includes Miss Piggy, the Great Gonzo, and Mahna Mahna with the Snowths, with Piggy pictured alongside her dog Foo‑Foo and Gonzo with his chicken girlfriend Camilla. NECA has recreated the characters’ 1970s TV looks, and a spokesperson told YouTuber Toy Anxiety the company plans to include miniature Singing Food Muppets first seen in a 1977 episode with guest Steve Martin.

Collectors who invested time and money in the Diamond Select line were left without promised figures when preorders were refunded rather than fulfilled; three two‑packs had been made available, one of which included an 11‑inch Sweetums.
