Netflix announces Ticket to Ride movie

Netflix has announced a movie based on the Ticket to Ride board game, extending its recent run of board-game adaptations. Last April it successfully bid for rights to make a Monopoly reality series, and in October it revealed multiple “scripted and unscripted” projects based on Settlers of Catan.

The image used with the story features Will Forte, Bowen Yang and Kristen Wiig, but they have not been announced as part of this movie — the picture comes from a video included below.

Details about the Ticket to Ride film are scarce, and the writer says they are not sure what form the adaptation will take. The piece also notes a 2024 Saturday Night Live sketch that adapted the game.
