Netflix Sets Q2 2026 Release Window for 'Agent From Above'
Netflix has set a Q2 2026 release window for Agent From Above, its Taiwanese action-fantasy series. The first season will run six episodes and is expected to premiere sometime between April and June 2026. Production began in 2019 and was slowed in 2022 after lead Kai Ko sustained significant facial injuries on set.
Based on the first book of Teensy's novel series The Oracle Comes and inspired by Taoist mythology, the story follows Han Chieh, a former drug user turned spirit medium. The series' official synopsis reads: "Bound by a deity's pact, Han Chieh fights demons on Earth.
When he uncovers an old enemy's plan for a second invasion, he must fight to save humanity." Agent From Above is one of the most ambitious and expensive Chinese-language productions that Netflix has undertaken. It is directed by Kuan Wei-chieh and Lai Chun-yu, with Melvin Ang and Rita Chuang serving as executive producers.
