Photos and videos from Japanese press and content creators have offered a first look at PokéPark Kanto in Tokyo ahead of its February 5 opening, Kotaku reported.

Kotaku says the park is designed to make visitors feel transported into the Pokémon world, with statues, character actors and photo ops across outdoor displays and indoor spots such as a Pokémon Center and a professor's lab.

Coverage shows scenes of Pokémon battling and interacting in the wild; Kotaku notes that, despite the Kanto name, the park includes Pokémon from several regions. Japanese outlets and tweets describe visitors exploring "forest" and "town" areas inhabited by hundreds of Pokémon, with some coverage saying there are more than 600 on display.

There is a shop selling exclusive merchandise and staff helpers—Kotaku points out Chansey appears behind the Pokémon Center desk—and the article notes some exclusive items will likely appear on reseller sites.

The photos and videos came from press previews ahead of the grand opening. The attraction will officially open to the public on February 5, and outlets such as Famitsu have published photo rundowns in advance.
