Nick Frost says Quentin Tarantino has pictures of him up in the foyer of his cinema and that he has seen them, because Tarantino and Edgar Wright became friends.

Frost told the Guardian that Tarantino “loves Ed” from Shaun of the Dead and that he is amazed to find his “stupid face” on display, recalling that he grew up watching Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction before seeing his own image in the cinema.

He also discussed other recent work and preparations: he was asked to learn to knit for his latest job as Hagrid in HBO’s Harry Potter TV version, and said he watched all the Harry Potter films back to back while writing “Hagrid” 7,000 times after his partner suggested trying to manifest the role.

Frost reflected on projects that didn’t proceed and career choices: a live‑action Captain Pugwash remake from nearly 10 years ago had a good script but “never quite reached escape velocity,” and he declined a Strictly Come Dancing approach after Cuban Fury because of the work required compared with the fee and concerns about how larger contestants are costumed.

What is known: Tarantino has photographs of Frost in his cinema and Frost has seen them; Frost is confirmed as Hagrid in an upcoming TV version and said the Captain Pugwash remake stalled. What is not detailed in the interview are any further plans involving Tarantino, or additional production details or schedules for the Hagrid project.
