Nicolas Coughlan is dating actor Jake Dunn; the two were first linked in August 2024, went Instagram official in February 2025 and made their first red carpet appearance together at the BAFTA Television & Television Craft Nominees’ Party in London on April 24, 2025. Dunn studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, graduating in 2022, and performed in campus productions including Anna Karenina and Julius Caesar, according to his bio page.

He has worked on TV and film, most notably playing the villain Thomas on Disney+’s Renegade Nell — a series that was canceled after its first season, per Deadline — and appearing in the 2025 movie William Tell and the BBC drama What It Feels Like for A Girl. Dunn told a journalist in an April 2024 TikTok that his Renegade Nell character was “so unlikable” he enjoyed being unlikable.

Coughlan was spotted with Dunn at events before their public confirmation: they appeared in a throwback photo from the Renegade Nell world premiere in March 2024 shared by co-star Alice Kremelberg, and fans first noticed them together at the All Points East festival in August 2024 when the Daily Mail obtained photos.

They were seen on a date night in London in October 2024, and Coughlan publicly acknowledged Dunn on his birthday in February 2025. Amid fan interest in her on-screen connections, Coughlan previously denied a romance with co-star Luke Newton, telling TIME in October 2024 they are just friends.
