According to People, Nikki Glaser honored Rob Reiner at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 11, 2026 by wearing a black baseball cap reading 'Spinal Tap' during the show's final moments.

Glaser appeared onstage and said, "Well, that's our show. This one went to 11," referencing a famous moment from This Is Spinal Tap between Reiner and Christopher Guest, and she closed by thanking the audience: "Thank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid. A good Chalamet to you all, good night!" The gesture came after Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele, 70, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Dec. 14; their son Nick, 32, was charged in connection with their deaths. Chelsea Handler had earlier paid tribute to the couple when she hosted the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on Jan. 4.

Glaser told USA Today before the Globes that she wanted to "just acknowledge [Reiner] and celebrate him in my own way," saying there was not an In Memoriam section and that she had "something planned" to honor him.
