Nikki Glaser, who hosted the Golden Globes on Sunday, closed the ceremony wearing a "Spinal Tap" baseball cap and saying, "This one went to 11." Glaser made several costume changes during the evening — walking the red carpet in a pink strapless dress, delivering her opening monologue in a crimson gown and appearing in a blue windbreaker for a sketch — and her final sartorial choice was the ceremony's only clear reference to the recent deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, who were killed at their home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles last month.

The host was riffing on a line from Rob Reiner's directorial debut, This Is Spinal Tap. The Golden Globes have not historically included an "In Memoriam" segment; Diane Keaton and Robert Redford have also died in recent months, the Times noted. The Reiners, who were married for 36 years, have deep roots in Los Angeles.

Rob Reiner was the son of television comedian Carl Reiner, acted in All in the Family and later directed films including The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally ... and A Few Good Men. Michele Singer Reiner, the daughter of an Auschwitz survivor, was described as a guiding force in her family's life.

The couple's youngest son, Nick Reiner, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder after his parents were discovered stabbed to death on Dec. 14. He has not yet entered a plea because his arraignment was postponed to Feb.
