Decades ago, Nintendo partnered with Sega and Namco to build Triforce, an arcade platform powered by the GameCube that hosted several unique titles, including a pair of original Mario Kart titles. For years those games were largely inaccessible, but that's finally changing thanks to the Wii and GameCube emulator Dolphin.
Many gamers outside Japan never saw Triforce machines in person. The platform's most notable legacy is probably Sega's F-Zero AX, which licensed Nintendo's futuristic racing series for an ultra-hard modern arcade game and was later ported back home in somewhat altered form as F-Zero GX.
