Nioh 3 Demon of Pride boss fight guide
The Demon of Pride is the first secret boss you can find in Nioh 3 and is considerably tougher than the early-game fights. The option to face it opens when you’re around level 53, but for a safer run you should be closer to level 90; skilled players can tackle it earlier, though a single mistake can be severely punished.
You unlock the encounter after defeating the Great Tengu during “The Age of Clans” in the Heian period, which grants the Kurama Tengu Guardian Spirit needed to traverse the spirit vein. The boss itself appears in the Warring States period, in Iinoya: head to the far east side of the region to the Sengan Waterfall shrine, climb to the base of the falls and speak to the ghostly apparition to begin the fight.
The Demon of Pride favors water-based ranged attacks, so staying close and using gear with water resistance helps. It’s weak to electricity, so electric weapons and ninjutsu are useful.
