Moon Studios boss Thomas Mahler confirmed on X Thursday that No Rest for the Wicked will move to $60 when it reaches version 1.0, saying “I’m not trying to do any FOMO marketing here, but yes: when we hit 1.0, No Rest for the Wicked will move to $60, because it’s a premium title.” The game is currently in Early Access and being sold at a lower price.

Mahler noted the game has typically been $40 during Early Access and is currently cheaper because of a Steam sale that takes 40 percent off until February 5. He contrasted that approach with Baldur’s Gate 3, which stayed at full price throughout its Early Access period. Last week’s Together update, which went live January 22, added full shared-world co-op along with quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and rebalancing.

The update made the top-down Soulslike more social, letting players fight together as well as fish, forage, and do other calmer activities. The update and a brief free-to-play weekend drove a major influx of players and positive Steam reviews: the game peaked at over 60,000 concurrent players, was temporarily the best-selling game on Steam, and Mahler said it has been selling tens of thousands of new copies every day since.

Mahler previously warned last year that heavy review-bombing could threaten the studio’s future; he framed the $40 Early Access price as a reward for early supporters.
