ZDNET says Nothing's CMF Buds 2 Plus — the most premium earbuds from the company's CMF sub-brand — are normally $79 but are available for a limited time at $55 on Amazon (about 30% off). According to ZDNET's review, the Buds 2 Plus deliver strong sound, a wide soundstage, clear instrument separation and improved bass response, along with good call quality and longer battery life compared with the CMF Buds Pro 2.

The earbuds support SBC and AAC by default and the app will offer LDAC when a source device supports it. The Nothing X app also provides a 3-minute Personal Sound profile test, a circular tri-band equalizer with presets, Ultra Bass (levels 1–5), Spatial Audio, dual connection, in-ear detection, ANC, ear tip fit test, Low lag mode and Find my earbuds functionality.

The review notes a mostly positive fit and light earbuds with a small touch control area for taps, but warns the touch sensors can register false inputs from clothes or pillow covers for side sleepers, causing ANC pings. The case echoes the Buds Pro 2 design with a nonfunctional dial as a signature element and has a textured but slightly slippery finish; the reviewer said they dropped it a couple of times without visible wear.

ZDNET reports the ANC is on par with the Buds 2 Pro and effectively reduced ambient noise from fans, air conditioners and public chatter; callers reportedly heard clear voice and no wind.
