Nursery worker convicted of child sexual offences charged with 15 further counts
Vincent Chan, 45, a nursery worker previously convicted of sexual attacks on children left in his care, has been charged with a further 15 offences that pre-date his earlier convictions, the prosecution says.
Chan previously pleaded guilty to 26 offences between 2022 and 2024, including sexually assaulting four girls aged between two and four at the north London nursery where he worked and offences relating to more than 25,000 indecent images of children. Those crimes took place at a now closed nursery in West Hampstead run by Bright Horizons.
The new charges, which relate to incidents at locations other than the West Hampstead nursery, include nine counts of taking an indecent photograph or pseudo‑photograph of a child (including the most severe category) and six counts of acts of outraging public decency. The charges relate to nine girls.
Chan, from Finchley, is in custody awaiting sentencing for his earlier convictions, and the police investigation is ongoing.
