OG The Witcher lead says Wild Hunt will likely be changed for remake

Artur Ganszyniec, the lead story designer on the original The Witcher, says the team remaking the first game will likely revisit the Wild Hunt's physical form. He makes the remarks in a video providing commentary on The Witcher in real time while playing through the ending.

"In the first Witcher, the Wild Hunt is more like the Wild Hunt from the legends," Ganszyniec notes, where the Hunt is teased as "an omen of war and tragedy" — a godly entity leading a cavalcade of spectral warriors. The Witcher 3 later reframed the group as powerful elves seeking a way to stop the White Frost, a narrative choice that hadn't been made back in 2007.
