People reported that former Ukrainian Olympic skater Oksana Baiul and her ex-husband Carlo Farina settled their divorce on Monday, Jan. 5, with Farina granted primary custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Sophia.

Court documents say Farina may move with Sophia from Louisiana to Las Vegas, and that if Baiul wants to see her daughter and Sophia agrees, Farina will make good-faith efforts to arrange visits. The agreement requires Baiul to enroll in anger management classes and undergo drug and alcohol testing; it also states neither parent will pay child support or spousal support in the interim. The parties will be required to list a Louisiana home for sale, and Baiul may live for a time in another jointly owned property; she had earlier said she was putting her Louisiana house up for sale and relocating out of state because she couldn’t find work.

Baiul spoke about the outcome on Facebook, writing, "As I’m sure anyone who has ever been through a separation or divorce knows, it is a lengthy and often devastating journey," and asking for privacy as they "move forward building our new future." The couple welcomed Sophia in June 2015; Baiul had announced the divorce in August and shared a post about sobriety on Christmas Day.
