Old School RuneScape's 2026 roadmap adds Sailing updates, new raid and quest finale
Gamesradar reports that developer Jagex has revealed a 2026 content roadmap for Old School RuneScape, centring on the newly released Sailing skill and including a long-awaited raid plus multiple seasonal updates for the MMO. Jagex outlined a miniature Sailing roadmap with spring boat-combat improvements, a broader Sailing combat update in summer alongside the second Tortugan quest and a player-designed island, and a fall sequel quest for an existing storyline plus a new Barracuda Trial; the studio also teased a "sea expansion" for later.
In April, Leagues returns as Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts with revamped Echo bosses, new tasks and relics, and "reimagined" combat masteries. The plan also includes the Summer Sweep Up to address player-polled issues, the summer release of Blood Moon Rises as a Grandmaster-tier quest that concludes the Myreque questline which began in 2005, and added grid functionality for "bingo events" following the compact Grid Master community event of fall 2025.
The crown jewel for many players is a winter raid called The Fractured Archive, described by Jagex as "Old School's toughest raid yet" and positioned against 2022's Tombs of Amascut, 2018's Theatre of Blood and 2017's Chambers of Xeric; rewards for that raid will be polled later this year.
