People reports that Olivier Sarr, the older brother of Washington Wizards star Alex Sarr, plays for the Raptors' G League affiliate after a winding path to the professional ranks.

Born Feb. 20, 1999, in Niort, France, Olivier left France to play college basketball at Wake Forest before transferring to Kentucky in 2020. He declared for the 2021 NBA Draft, went undrafted, then signed a Summer League deal with the Memphis Grizzlies, later signing two-way contracts with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Olivier helped win a G League championship in 2024 and shortly after ruptured his left Achilles tendon; he wrote on Instagram about the emotional day and in an Overtime Elite video called the road to recovery “a long road ahead.”

Olivier was by Alex’s side at the 2024 NBA Draft, and Alex has credited him with providing guidance and inspiration. Olivier signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Raptors, was released from the team in October 2025, and joined the Raptors' G League affiliate soon after; he and Alex also maintain family ties to Senegal, where they spent summers with their father, Massar Sarr.
