Crunchyroll and Toei Animation have scheduled a new season of One Piece to begin on April 5, launching the Elbaph arc. The story sends the Straw Hats to the land of giants, a destination they've dreamed of visiting since before they entered the Grand Line. Netflix's live-action season 2 trailer also shows the Straw Hats entering the Grand Line and meeting Dorry and Broggy on Little Garden, the giants who first inspired their desire to reach Elbaph.

The manga is already well into the arc, and it’s shaping up to be as impactful as the recent Egghead Island storyline. Toei has moved the anime away from a weekly broadcast, producing 26 episodes per year split into two cours, with each episode adapting at least one full manga chapter.

The series previously paused for six months from October 2024 to April 2025 to improve animation and let the manga pull ahead, helping avoid rushed pacing and extended recap episodes; episodes 1144–1155 of the Egghead Island arc will receive an English dub on Crunchyroll on March 22.
