After hundreds of hours with Baldur's Gate 3, its replayability and multiple endings—one of which can wipe out the world—make a direct sequel on TV hard to imagine without upsetting many fans. The game’s sense of adventure and the way any loose end can be explored in another playthrough are core to its appeal, so a faithful continuation would struggle to choose a single canonical outcome.

A more practical approach is to shift the focus to the Gods. Throughout the game they watch and respond to events: Jergal, who appears as Withers in the players’ camp, keeps a tally of deeds, and the Dead Three—Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul—loom over the story. Because gods usually show themselves through Chosen or avatars rather than in true form—Bane’s Chosen is Lord Enver Gortash, and Myrkul’s avatar turns up beneath Moonrise Towers—their appearances are open to visual interpretation on screen.
