Oscar Bobb poised to join Fulham for £27m after Semenyo arrival
Per The Athletic, Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb is poised to complete a £27 million move to Fulham after the clubs agreed a fee that includes a 20 per cent sell-on clause. City also retain the right to match any future bid for the Norway international, and Bobb is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday before finalising the switch to west London.
Bobb has 16 caps for Norway but has struggled for minutes at the Etihad, limited to 47 senior appearances for City with three goals and four assists. He has also battled injury after fracturing his leg in training during the U.S. tour ahead of the 2024-25 season; he said: "I was pressing and then my foot got stuck, slipped with the other one, sort of fell back on my leg.
But it wasn’t too painful, it was just annoying." His playing time was further reduced by City signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, and he faces competition from Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku and Savinho. Pep Guardiola has previously praised him, saying, "Oscar defensively is a machine, he helped us a lot and in the final third.
His one-v-one is really good and he made good decisions. I’m really pleased he played good," but the manager has since admitted the Norway international wants to leave City. Fulham currently sit seventh in the Premier League, four points behind the Champions League places, and manager Marco Silva has spoken about the need to "embrace" pressure as he strengthens his squad.
